Texture Armoire

This is an 'easy to follow' (hopefully)
step by step instruction on
"How to texture your FUNSIES Armoire"
using an Armoire Texture Pack from Wonderful World

PS. I use Firestorm in Phoenix mode,
so it might look slightly different in your viewer

Remember:
your FUNSIES Armoire is copy
so no worries if you mess up - simply rezz a fresh one and try again.
You wont lose any of the outfits you have in your armoire,
since they are all stored in the FUNSIES database.

Ready? Ok let's begin .....

1)
Open the box which contains the Textures you will be using for your armoire to your inventory
(for the purpose of this tutorial, I will be using simple colorful textures, so it will be easier to follow along, but you of course use the Armoire Texture Pack of your choice)
Then rezz a copy of your armoire on a non-mesh work surface.

2)
Right click on the armoire and go to EDIT

3)
In the Edit window, check the box for 'Edit Linked'

4)
With the Edit Window open, left mouse click on the armoire divider.
Go to the TEXTURE tab in the Edit window
Click the small preview window for texture and in the search box in the window,
which pops up type in: Texture for Armoire Divider
Click the correct texture in the result list and click the OK button

5)
Keeping the Edit window open, left mouse click on the armoire clothes hanger rod.
In the TEXTURE tab in the Edit window,
Click the small preview window for texture and in the search box in the window,
which pops up type in: Texture for Armoire Clothes Hanger Rod
Click the correct texture in the result list and click the OK button

6)
Still keeping the Edit window open, left mouse click on one of the armoire shelves
In the TEXTURE tab in the Edit window,
Click the small preview window for texture and in the search box in the window,
which pops up type in: Texture for Armoire Shelves
Click the correct texture in the result list and click the OK button

   Repeat for the second shelf

This is not hard is it?  .... Time to spice things up a bit

7)
In the Edit Window set the little dot in SELECT FACE instead of in MOVE, like this:

8)
With the Edit Window open and dot in SELECT FACE, left mouse click on the armoire molding (the little fancy looking flower thing at the top of the armoire)

In the TEXTURE tab in the Edit window
Click the small preview window for texture and in the search box in the window,
which pops up type in: Texture for Armoire Molding
Click the correct texture in the result list and click the OK button

Prefer not to see that molding at all? See point 16 below

9)
With the Edit Window open and dot in SELECT FACE, left mouse click on the armoire legs
In the TEXTURE tab in the Edit window
Click the small preview window for texture and in the search box in the window,
which pops up type in: Texture for Armoire Legs
Click the correct texture in the result list and click the OK button

10)
With the Edit Window open and dot in SELECT FACE, left mouse click on the armoire top
In the TEXTURE tab in the Edit window
Click the small preview window for texture and in the search box in the window,
which pops up type in: Texture for Armoire Top
Click the correct texture in the result list and click the OK button

11)
With the Edit Window open and dot in SELECT FACE,
left mouse click on the armoire's one door
(be sure you click on the frame not on the glass)
In the TEXTURE tab in the Edit window
Click the small preview window for texture and in the search box in the window,
which pops up type in: Texture for Armoire Doors
Click the correct texture in the result list and click the OK button

Repeat for the other door

You are doing great!

Now close the edit window and
admire your work for a moment
and then close the armoire doors

Ok, back to work! :)

12)
Right click and again on the armoire and go to EDIT
In the Edit window check the box for EDIT LINKED and set the little dot in SELECT FACE
Left mouse click on one of the door knobs.
In the TEXTURE tab in the Edit window
Click the small preview window for texture and in the search box in the window,
which pops up type in: Texture for Armoire Door Knobs
Click the correct texture in the result list and click the OK button

Repeat with the other door knob

13)
With the Edit Window open and dot in SELECT FACE,
left mouse click on the armoire's door post
(either one is fine, they will both texture no matter which you pick)
In the TEXTURE tab in the Edit window
Click the small preview window for texture and in the search box in the window,
which pops up type in: Texture for Armoire Door Posts
Click the correct texture in the result list and click the OK button

14)
With the Edit Window open and dot in SELECT FACE,
left mouse click on the armoire's sides
(either one is fine, they will both texture no matter which you pick)
In the TEXTURE tab in the Edit window
Click the small preview window for texture and in the search box in the window,
which pops up type in: Texture for Armoire Sides
Click the correct texture in the result list and click the OK button

15)
With the Edit Window open and dot in SELECT FACE,
left mouse click on the armoire's backside
In the TEXTURE tab in the Edit window
Click the small preview window for texture and in the search box in the window,
which pops up type in: Texture for Armoire Backside
Click the correct texture in the result list and click the OK button

Wow! You are a pro by now :)
Let's take a break, close the Edit window and look at the armoire,
maybe even open the doors

Actually .... I tricked you hehe
You are all done now :D

UNLESS .....

Unless you decided in point 8 that you really do not want to look at that molding,
if so, you have one more step:

16)
Right click and again on the armoire and go to EDIT
In the Edit window check the box for EDIT LINKED and set the little dot in SELECT FACE
Left mouse click on the molding at the top
In the TEXTURE tab in the Edit window, change the transparency value to be 100%

and NOW you are done!

Enjoy!
